Watched Bob and Rose, a six episode series about a gay man who happens to fall in love with a woman. Written by Russel T Davies. I found it at the library and was pretty excited. I like Alan Davies on QI and always wanted to see something he acted in.  I liked it. Russell does good dialogue, and the banter was fun. I think there should have been a little more showing us their togetherness and...

Watching House with my mom. “That dude’s going to faint or something.” Yep. House solves the mystery and they begin to start treatment. “Nope. That’s not it. Just wait…he’s going to pee blood.” He pees. “Yep.” Still 40 minutes left of the episode. I love Hugh Laurie, but I think House maybe should have ended a few years ago. Or at...

Tip: Screaming in the store telling customers not to buy from us because the movies didn’t work on your DVD player but fine on ours doesn’t mean you will get your way— it means we will call the cops on your ass.

If it is generally universally accepted that cleaning up after yourself is a social norm, then why the f*ck is 90% of my time at work spent picking up stuff people dropped/knocked over? I can understand if the service provided involves clean up, like eating in a restaurant, playing paintball, etc… But is it really THAT hard to come to a store to rent a movie without making a mess? At...

It only took 8 years since I first worked on a production and tried to get my credits listed. Today, I noticed I finally have a profile. http://www.imdb.com/name/nm2296757/  Bout damn time. Now to get my other productions credited.

My boss is a big fan of the Westminster dog show and has kept me up to date. This morning I go on the internets to see that the ugliest dog ever won.  Me: “Whoa Whoa. That ugly ass Chewbacca/Ewok hybrid won the Westminster?” Boss: “You just don’t want to know how angry I was.” Me: “Its stupid little face is all over the internet now.” Boss: “Yes,...

I really enjoyed Anonymous. It was a bit hard to follow at first, and definitely benefited from the second viewing I gave it. I don’t really have an opinion either way regarding the truth to the conspiracies (sort of like the whole Paul McCartney is dead conspiracy), so I judged it only on its merits on a film. It was very well written and acted. As a matter of fact, I’ve never really...

itscandidlycara: For me it was “Question everything.” What’s one lesson you’ll always thank your parents for teaching you? My mom has taught me to be selfless for those you love. She always made sure my dad, my brother, and I always had what we needed before she did. I remember once before I went to work I noticed that dinner was to be steak, but there were only three (4 people in the house)....

Led Zeppelin- 1975: If the sun refused to shine, I would still be loving you. When mountains crumble to the sea, there will still be you and me. Kind woman, I give you my all, Kind woman, nothing more.
Nicki Minaj- 2012: You a stupid hoe, you a, you a stupid hoe, you a stupid hoe, you a stupid hoe, you a stupid hoe, (yeah) you a, you a stupid hoe, you a stupid hoe, you a, you a stupid hoe (stupid, stupid), you a stupid hoe, you a, you a stupid hoe (stupid, stupid), you a stupid hoe, you a, you a stupid hoe (stupid, stupid) (stupid, stupid)
I hate humans.
OMFG. Because, you know, there weren't equally as stupid songs in the 60s, 70s, or any other time period. Shut the fuck up.
I hate most modern music, but yeah, there were some pretty terrible songs back in the day.

Watching The Seven Little Foys. Good fun. His little quips are brilliant. “You should be ashamed. Humiliating your children like that!” Bob Hope: “Well…looks like it’s about even then.”

Watched A Better Life again. So good. He’s nominated along with Jean Dujardin, and I loved both of their performances. I wish both of them could win. It will probably be Dujardin, and that makes me happy, but a big part of me is pulling for Bichir. Watch it. Now.

I worked from 8a-8p yesterday at the shoot. Then I worked inventory from 9p-2:30a. Slept from 3a-5a. Showered, and arrived for my call time at 7am. I. Am. Tired. But I still love it. Even though I’m in the production office and not on set. It is a nice of change of pace, and I get to learn a new aspect of PA work. Set is more fun. Office PA involves a lot of airports and shopping.

I have a PA gig! Huzzah! It starts tomorrow morning. BBC America production. (No, it’s not anything related to Doctor Who, unfortunately). So I’m excited. And thankful that I have an amazing boss that is incredibly flexible when I say, “So…is it cool if I have six days off starting tomorrow?” I work Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday. Luckily I...

I’m the reader in the family and am quite often more familiar with words not often used in regular conversation than my family. It’s been that way since I was a kid.  Dad: “They have dirijibles.” Me: “What?” Dad: “Dirijibles.” Me: “Are you just making up a word?” Dad: “It exists!” *google it* Me: “Oh yeah. Like, a...
